The Entanglement Theory
The Entanglement Theory explores the idea that our lives are connected in ways we cannot always see. The figures gathered within the restorative justice circle represent different roles, experiences, and perspectives brought together through the process of healing. Inspired by the scientific concept of quantum entanglement, the piece uses the circle as a metaphor for the invisible connections between people—the understanding that what happens to one person can affect the lives of others.
The fourth figure is intentionally positioned from behind, placing the viewer directly into the circle. You are not simply looking at the artwork—you become part of the equation. This represents one of the central ideas of restorative justice: everyone has a role in restoration. Healing requires participation, accountability, empathy, and connection. The Entanglement Theory challenges the viewer to consider their own place within the circle and how their choices, relationships, and actions are connected to the larger community.
